Community Connections is an open, informal network of churches, schools and businesses in the Cedar Hills Community. Together, we seek to make a positive impact by working together to serve the common good and improve our community.

Day of Action - April 23, 2017

For the past several years, CHBC has partnered with Westside United Methodist Church, for a Day of Action on the Sunday after Easter. Instead of meeting at church to worship, church members work on various service projects to make a positive impact in our community. Below are some of the details.  Please consider how you can help, and plan to join us.


  • 8:15-8:45 am - Brief opening worship at Westside Methodist, 13420 SW Butner Road, Beaverton.
  • 9:00 am - 1:00 pm - Projects and Serving
  • 1:00 pm - Free lunch for all volunteers at Meadow Park Middle School

Simple Acts of Kindness and Service

  • Pack and deliver sack lunches to the homeless
  • Pack and deliver homemade baked brownies, cupcakes, and cookies to local DMV, Police, and Fire Departments
  • Deliver spring flowers to neighbors in our community

Cedar Hills Baptist Projects

  • Pack sack lunches for distribution to the homeless
  • Pack and deliver homemade goody plates
  • Prayer Station

Meadow Park Middle School Projects

  • Cleaning
  • Weeding
  • Planting flowers

Migrant Camp Projects

  • Rehab work in Laundry Room
  • Cleaning
  • Raking and grounds cleanup
